About Us

Emily's love of the natural world began at a young age, playing in her mother's garden and creating a nature club with her childhood neighbors in Northern New Jersey. Those explorations ignited a true appreciation for the natural world, and drove her desire to create colorful and interactive outdoor spaces that foster symbiotic relationships between homeowners and their surrounding ecosystems.

While pursuing her degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Rhode Island, she spent time interning at The Fells Historic Garden developing a true appreciation for historic roots, as well as time abroad in New Zealand navigating shifting ecological relationships in the landscape and supporting conservation efforts. After graduating, she rock climbed her way through Europe, visiting various gardens, and keeping her artistic hands busy with her sketchbook everywhere she went. Once back stateside, she spent time first at KZLA working on city parks and urban planing projects and then at Andover Landscape Design learning the ins and outs of a residential design build company. In 2022, she began working with Amy Martin Landscape Design where she quickly rose to the level of Project Manager, overseeing a multitude of high end residential projects. During her employment with AMLD, she acquired a certificate in Project Management from Northeastern University.

Her son, Rafael, was born in 2024, prompting a move closer to family in Connecticut. While she still collaborates with Amy Martin Landscape Design, she seized the opportunity to share her design abilities and conservation efforts with a new community, setting down roots in central CT by developing her own landscape design company. Emily’s approach interweaves artistic themes, respect for the natural environment, and the intricate details of human interaction within the landscape, resulting in thoughtful and functional outdoor spaces her clients adore. With a love for the poetic beauty of well crafted landscapes, she integrates her artistry with each clients’ unique vision and desired functionality, fostering ecological harmony begging to be enjoyed. Her past work and experiences have influenced her design philosophy to think outside the box and consider how every person, regardless of age, interacts with her projects.

Design Process

Our design approach is highly imaginative and collaborative, bringing together the client's vision for their property and any architects or engineers involved to ensure success and client satisfaction. We explore our clients’ needs and goals, as well as the opportunities and potential challenges of the site, and weave these elements into a cohesive, functional design our client loves.

We help and guide you through all phases of the design process by helping you prepare for site meetings, communicating through our initiation and concept design, and collaborate on revisions to bring you a final Master Plan you and your family will love.

Project Oversight

We manage every aspect of the installation from site preparation to final walkthrough with the client. Working with our contractors, we ensure the integrity and spirit of the design is executed, paying great attention to detail and maintaining the highest professional standards.

We coordinate and guide our contractors in the construction of all landscape elements, oversee installation on site, and communicate change orders to our clients when necessary. We curate and select plants, schedule deliveries, and guide contractors in plant placement to create a balanced composition.

Customer Stories

We worked with Emily Sanchez on a complete review of our property in Cohasset, MA. She was instrumental in both the design and implementation of new plantings, redo of our in-ground pool and re-imaging the use and enjoyment of our back yard. From concept to implementation and help with décor, Emily was a good listener, engaging and creative. Her approach to the project was thorough.  She kept us informed on the project’s progress, concerns and alternatives. We were at our home on the West Coast during much of the project and Emily took the success of the project as her own. Emily is skilled in her business, a true professional and a delight to work with.

Working with Emily was amazing! She oversaw our (huge!) landscaping and hardscaping project and didn’t flinch when I found a new plant that I needed to include (sometimes in the 11th hour!). We so appreciated having her here onsite to oversee the installation and advice on any last-minute adjustments.

My husband Jim and I worked with Emily during 2023 for a complete renovation on our patio and landscaping. We found Emily to be amazingly knowledgeable, precise, patient, and all-around wonderful. We enjoyed working with her very much. Emily‘s extensive knowledge of plantings and trees was truly amazing. She also had an in-depth knowledge of the Hardscape portion of our project and help us enormously with that. We were sorry when we heard that Emily was no longer going to be available to work in this area here due to a relocation. I wish her much luck in her new business and I know she will be very successful.

Emily is thoughtful, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply invested in her clients’ projects. She has an eye for design and a strong understanding of how everything will grow and evolve over time.

Our space feels both beautiful and functional — and that balance is not easy to achieve. I would absolutely work with her again.
